A blog series by Kayla Sue Warner
💼 Intro to the Series:
A blog series for everyone who’s ever said, ‘So… what do you do?’ and wanted to scream.
This is where I talk about burnout, quitting, capitalism, the myth of the dream job, and what it means to build a life that makes sense to you—even if your résumé can’t.
I used to think I’d have it all figured out by now.
A dream job. A clear path. Maybe even a 401(k) I understood.
But instead, I have…questions. Burnout. And a talent for writing emotionally raw blog posts about career confusion while wearing pajamas at 2PM.
Professionally Confused Since 1992 is a blog series about what happens when you do everything “right” and still don’t know what you want to be when you grow up. It’s about burnout, capitalism, softness, shifting identities, and all the weird, in-between jobs that left a mark.
It’s not a guide to finding your dream job.
It’s a love letter to the ones who keep trying, even when they’re tired of trying.
To the ones who are good at caring, but bad at self-promotion.
To the ones who are slowly learning that being a person is more important than being a title.
Here’s where I collect my messiest thoughts on work, worth, rest, and the myth of having it all together.
